I bought this for my (then) girlfriend in 2008 - we still have and use it often. The sound is great if you have an iPod or a laptop connected / etc inserted through the headphone jack. The battery life is long (I've never had it removed long enough to drain all the way, but I played along with movies and music for an hour or two later in the battery to die without me.
